Tony Jones is a controversial speaker, author and prominent voice in the Emerging Church Movement. He is also the national coordinator of Emergent Village and a doctoral fellow in practical theology at Princeton Theological Seminary. He was born in 1968 and grew up in the Colonial Church of Edina in Minnesota and eventually became the youth pastor. He was further educated at Dartmouth College and Fuller Seminary and currently serves on several boards, and he is a regular columnist in The Journal of Student Ministries. He is the author of many books, including “The New Christians: Dispatches from the Emergent Frontier”, “The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life” and “An Emergent Manifesto of Hope” and is also the editor of several books. He also volunteers as a Police Chaplain and lives in Minnesota with his wife and their three children. |
