Dan Kimball is a pastor, author and prominent voice in the Emerging Church movement and he was born and raised in New Jersey. He is one of the pastors at Vintage Faith Church in Santa Cruz, California. He is also a graduate of Multnomah Biblical Seminary and Western Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at George Fox Evangelical Seminary. Kimball is known as one of the more theologically conservative voices in the emerging church discussion and he uses the phrases "Vintage Faith" and "Vintage Christianity" for how he expresses his perspective of going back to "vintage" values of the original Christian church and teachings of Jesus - yet at the same time moving forward to what it means to be church in a very different culture today. He is married with two kids.
