Kobus van Rensburg (a.k.a. Prophet Kobus van Rensburg), together with his wife Annalise, are the senior pastors and sole founders of Spirit Word Ministries, situated in Stilfontein in the North-West Province of South Africa. Van Rensburg is a self- appointed prophet and his ministry focuses on signs, miracles and wonders and also teaches everything from Restoration or Dominion theology to prosperity teaching. He claims that during the last week of January 2000, the Holy Spirit fell upon him in a very special way while visiting Prophet T.B. Joshua in Lagos, Nigeria and he also claims to heal people of cancer, HIV and AIDS on a weekly basis. Spirit Word Ministries (formerly Lofdal Ministries) was started in 1985 and now has a Christian school, Bible school and various other programmes as well as a regular television broadcast in South Africa. He claims to be an anointed of God.
