Rick Joyner is an American religious leader, author, speaker, and is also founder and executive director of MorningStar Publications & Ministries in North Carolina. He is associated with the Kansas City Prophets (Paul Cain, Bob Jones and Mike Bickle). Joyner says that since his conversion to Christianity in 1971, he has “an ability to foresee certain future events accurately” and “occasionally look at people and know details about them.” As a self-proclaimed prophet and self-anointed apostle, he insinuates that Scripture is outdated and no longer applies to Christians today. Joyner has authored more than 30 books, including his best-seller, The Final Quest. Most of his books are either about the prophetic ministry or they are based on heavenly revelations he has received himself. Morningstar publishes a Prophetic Journal quarterly. He is married to his wife Julie and they have five children.
