Rodney Howard-Browne (born June 12, 1961 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa) is a charismatic preacher and evangelist and head of Revival ministries International. He believes that he was touched by God in 1979 and “plugged into heaven's electrical supply.” He pastored for two years at Rhema Church in Johannesburg and in 1987 he moved to the United States. Howard-Browne is best known for the “ holy laughter” phenomena that he introduced to the world in April, 1989, while preaching in a church near Albany, New York. Not long after this, he was appearing on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and it was only shortly afterward that his influence began to envelope the Toronto Airport Vineyard Fellowship through the visit by Randy Clark. He is married to Adonica and has children. He also pastors a church, The River, in Tampa, Florida, USA. |
