Joyce Meyer (born 1943) is an evangelical author and speaker in the Christian market, and her books cover everything from America’s Christian heritage to weight-loss. She lives outside of St. Louis, Missouri, and produces regularly broadcast television and radio programs. She holds an honorary degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a PhD in Theology from Life Christian University, in Tampa, Florida. In February, 2005 she was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the top 25 Christian evangelicals in America, but she is perhaps best known from her radio and television program, Life in the Word, both of which are broadcast nationally and internationally. She is associated with the Word Faith movement.
