Tofik Benedictus (Benny) Hinn is a controversial pastor, charismatic Word Faith teacher and televangelist. He was influenced by Kathryn Kuhlman during his 20’s and 10 years later he started his charismatic career by opening the Orlando Christian Center (now World Outreach Center) which he sold in 1999. Hinn regularly hosts "Miracle Crusades" in large stadiums in major cities and allegedly perform miracle healings to people who come onstage with all kinds of medical conditions. He practices and teaches faith healing, slaying in the Spirit and claims to be a prophet of God, and has issued many false prophesies and statements up to date. He is currently the host of “This Is Your Day”, a 30-minute TV show that runs on various religious networks and he has published more than 10 books. He was born on December 3, 1952 in Tel Aviv, Israel, is married to Suzanne Harthern and lives in Dana Point, California.
